2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a SportVeo account, we collect: email address, password (securely hashed), first and last name, profile information, sports interests, and account preferences.

Video and Streaming Content

When you upload or stream content, we collect: video files, metadata, streaming information, and content analytics.

Google/YouTube OAuth Integration

When you connect your YouTube account to SportVeo, we collect: YouTube channel ID, channel name, OAuth tokens (encrypted), and channel information retrieved through YouTube Data API v3. We request the scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube

You can revoke SportVeo's access at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Social Features and Interactions

We collect posts, comments, follows, likes, groups you join, and challenges you participate in.

Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect device type, operating system, browser information, IP address, pages visited, time spent, search queries, and referrer information.

Location Information

We collect location information you provide in your profile and approximate location from IP address for discovery features. You can control location sharing through app settings.

4. Data Storage and Security

SportVeo data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database. We implement multiple security measures: end-to-end encryption for sensitive data, hashed passwords, Row-Level Security policies, HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security audits.

While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining password confidentiality.

5. Data Retention

• Account Information: Retained while account is active; deleted upon account deletion
• Video Content: Retained until you delete content or close account
• OAuth Tokens: Retained securely while YouTube connection is active; deleted when disconnected
• Activity Logs: Retained for 90 days
• Backup Data: May be retained for up to 30 days after deletion

6. Analytics and Third-Party Services

Analytics: SportVeo uses analytics services to understand how users interact with our platform. This may include page views, click tracking, and performance metrics. Analytics data is used only for service improvement and does not personally identify you.

Hosting and Infrastructure: SportVeo is hosted by B12 and uses Supabase for database services. These providers may process your data according to their privacy practices. Your content and account data are encrypted at rest and in transit.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies: SportVeo uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookie settings through your browser.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Public Profile Information: Your public profile is visible to all users and may be indexed by search engines.

Service Providers: We share information with service providers including Supabase (database), B12 (hosting), Google Cloud (for YouTube OAuth), and analytics providers to deliver SportVeo services.

Google/YouTube: We access your YouTube account through official OAuth 2.0. We do not share information with Google beyond what is necessary for the OAuth flow. YouTube account information is stored securely and encrypted.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of SportVeo, our users, or the public.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Access: You can view and download your data through account settings.

Modification: You can update your information anytime through account settings.

Deletion: You can request account deletion, which removes your profile, videos, and YouTube connection. Contact support@sportveo.com.

Disconnect Third-Party Services: Disconnect your YouTube account anytime through account settings.

9. Children's Privacy

SportVeo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website.
